Review: A Useful Tool to keep your Memory Sharp
A fascinating read! This book gives a well balanced overview of the subject of memory and how to improve it. Like many people of a certain age I find it more and more frustrating when I am unable to recall simple things, for example, being introduced to my opposite player in a bowls match and being unable to remember their name two minutes later. It seems unbelievable, I know, but it happens to most of the players and we all joke about it. Now, after reading this book, I have the tools to avoid this embarassment. The techniques in this book are straightforward and more importantly: they work! In addition, there are chapters with sound advice on memory improvement with Nutritional Supplements, Good Nutrition and also how memory han be affected by lifestyle, (with one or two surprises). Some of the scientific findings tended to be somewhat dry, but I guess it is necessary to include such studies and corroboration, and in any case the author carefully summarises any jargon in everyday…
